We recently traveled to Los Angeles to attend the Medical Device and Manufacturing Trade Show. This was an invaluable opportunity to see what’s new in the technology and services available for developing medical products. We also had a shopping list of parts to source for projects we are working on.
One of the most interesting things we saw was micro-fabrication of metal parts, allowing the manufacture of a gripper assembly for laparoscopic surgery capable of passing through a 0.6mm diameter hole.
